Part 5: The EU Policy Instruments towards Eurasia

This chapter provides an overview of the EU policy instruments addressing Eurasia on a regional approach. The chapter tries to outline the EU’s objectives in dealing with the region and traces the evolution of the policy instruments, which have become more differentiated since the early 1990th. With regard to recent years, the EU’s increased focus on ownership by the partner countries is critically discussed.
