What is ILIAS?
What kind of content elements do ILIAS and LIB(e)RO have to offer me?
As pointed out before, ILIAS provides different functions and can contain various content elements and media formats to enhance your learning experience. Here are some examples:
Learning modules are like short interactive books, in which you can find all the relevant information on a certain subject. Within each learning module you can find chapters, sub-chapters and pages. On the pages of the learning modules, you will be able to find different contents, for example texts, audio and video files and images or figures supporting the texts. On some pages of the learning modules, you will find test questions which will help you to check whether you understood the texts.
ILIAS offers different options to take assessments and tests. Within LIB(e)RO you will find test questions within the learning modules, which will help you to check whether you understood the texts and information provided in the learning module.
Each learning module is accompanied by a glossary, which assembles and explains the most important terms used within the learning module. If a term is contained within the glossary, you will notice that it is underlined in the texts of the learning modules. If you click on the underlined words. You will immediately see the explanation provided in the glossary.
You can use the forum to ask questions on LIB(e)RO, how it works or on specific materials. You can also use it to exchange your own experiences with other LIB(e)RO users. However, as you do not have to register to use LIB(e)RO, posting within the forum will only be possible anonymously.
As mentioned earlier, LIB(e)RO will make use of different media formats, such as texts, audio files, videos, links or PDF files which you can download.
We hope that this variety of content elements and media formats will be appealing to you and will help you to learn with LIB(e)RO.
