Exports (2021): The chemical industry plays an important role in the Belarusian economy. Thus, the most exported goods include, on the one hand, chemical products for agriculture, such as fertilizers, and, on the other hand, the chemical production of refined petroleum. This is due to the high occurrence of potash, which is used for fertilizer and glass production. Other important export
products include cheese and dairy products, wood, and delivery trucks, as well as other vehicles.
Destinations (2021): Belarus exports the largest amount of goods to Russia. For individual products, such as cheese, Russia even tak es almost the entire export volume. Use the following link to view the exact sales markets for each product:

DESCRIPTIONS
Imports (2021): By far the most imported product is crude petroleum, with more then 96% of the total imported volume coming from Russia. Since Be larus has no petroleum or natural gas of its own, the crude petroleum from Russia is an important source of income for the country. Since Belarus buys the petroleum cheaply, processes it and then sells is as refined petroleum on the world market, imports from Russia are a key issue when it comes to economic prosperity
Origins (2021): Since many products are imported from Russia, the Belarusian economy is highly dependent on Russia. In addition, the importance of China is increasing. While the share of Chinese Products in total imports was around 4.4% in 2010, the share has now more than doubled.
